Mike Pickett
Director and Chairman of the Board
Mike Pickett serves as president and chief executive officer of Onvia. Over the last five years, he has managed, counseled and served on the boards of various Internet and technology-based startups including ZDTV, College Club and Digital Archaeology. Previously, Pickett was chairman, CEO, and president of Merisel Inc. Under his direction, the company grew from a $200 million regional distributor of computer products into a $6 billion global corporation. Pickett also spent 14 years at Deloitte & Touche, rising to partner-in-charge of the emerging businesses practice. He has been five-time winner of Computer Reseller News' award as one of the 25 most influential executives in the high technology industry. Pickett holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.

Jeffrey C. Ballowe
Jeffrey C. Ballowe has served as a director of the Company since December 1999. Before leaving Ziff Davis at the end of 1997, he led the launches of 5 magazines, ZDNet on the Web, ZDTV (now TechTV), and the initial ZD/Softbank investments in Yahoo!, Inc. Mr. Ballowe is the cofounder and past president of the not-for-profit Electronic Literature Organization and a former member of the board of trustees of Lawrence University. He holds a bachelor's degree from Lawrence University, a master's degree in French from the University of Wisconsin, and a master of business administration from the University of Chicago.

James L. Brill
James L. Brill has served as a director of Onvia since March 2004. He has served as senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer of On Assignment, Inc., a staffing agency for science and healthcare professionals, since January 2007. Mr. Brill served as vice president of finance and chief financial officer of Diagnostic Products Corporation, a medical diagnostics manufacturer, from July 1999 to December 2006. From August 1998 to June 1999, he served as CFO of Jafra Cosmetics International, a cosmetics manufacturer, and vice president of finance and administration and CFO of Vertel Corporation from 1996 to 1998. Mr. Brill holds a bachelor's degree from the United States Naval Academy and a master of business administration from UCLA.

Robert G. Brown
Robert G. Brown is currently president of Brightwood Advisors, a private company providing business consulting to technology companies and investors. Prior to Brightwood Advisors, he was group president with Harte-Hanks, a provider of direct marketing services, and president and CEO of ZD Market Intelligence, a division of Ziff Davis, Inc. Mr. Brown holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Lehigh University and a master of business administration from the Harvard Business School.

Roger L. Feldman
Roger Feldman has served as a director of the Company since March 2004. He is a principal of West Creek Capital, an investment firm he cofounded in 1992. Prior to forming West Creek Capital, Mr. Feldman was an investment banker and an attorney. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor degree from Columbia Law School.

Steven D. Smith
Steven D. Smith has served as a director of the Company since January 2000. From March 1997 to April 2003, he served as managing director of GE Equity, a subsidiary of GE Capital. From August 1990 to February 1997, Mr. Smith served in a variety of positions at GE Capital, most recently as managing director, ventures. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University and a master of business administration from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Smith serves as a member of the Audit committee.

D. Van Skilling
D. Van Skilling has been president of Skilling Enterprises since March 1999. He retired in April 1999 as chairman and CEO of Experian Information Systems Inc., positions he held since Experian was formed in 1996. Mr. Skilling was previously employed by TRW Inc. for 27 years and was executive vice president from 1989 to 1996. He holds a bachelor's degree from Colorado College and a master of business administration from Pepperdine University. Mr. Skilling currently serves on the boards of directors of Lamson & Sessions, First American Corporation, mcData Corporation, and the American Business Bank, and he is chairman of the Board of Trustees of Colorado College.
