Account Representative
The Opportunity: Responsible for pre-qualifying leads. This role contacts potential clients who have expressed interest in learning more about Onvia, asks them questions about their business strategy, informs them about Onvia's offering and ascertains the likelihood of the prospect being a good match for Onvia's services. 70% of one's time will be on the phone.
Core Responsibilities:
- Makes outbound calls to prospects who have expressed interest in learning more about Onvia
- Answers inbound calls from various sources who are most often seeking to grow their business with the Government sector
- Shares information about Onvia and asks questions about the prospects' business intentions
- Discerns potential for purchase and forwards those who are of good potential on to the Sales Acquisition Executives to pursue
- Schedules appointments between prospects and Acquisition Executives
- Records prospect information into CRM data base
- Assists vendors who utilize the Onvia DemandStar service and informs them of our Onvia product offerings to encourage potential upgrades
Position Qualifications:
- Professional vocal skills: courteous, well spoken, pleasing vocal tone, and polished in asking questions and sharing information
- Competent in multi-tasking
- Able to connect business needs to solutions
- Adept at using a keyboard (for entering call information)
Measures Of Success:
- Number of leads pre-qualified
- Number of one's leads which later become sales
- Number of outbound calls contributed
- Number of inbound calls answered
- Quality of improvement suggestions offered
Education/Training/Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing or Communications
