Henry "Hank" Riner
Hank Riner, President and Chief Executive Officer

Hank Riner was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Onvia in October, 2010. Riner has over thirty years' experience in building and growing profitable businesses in the information services and software industries. Onvia represents Riner’s fifth CEO assignment in his career. Previously he was CEO of OSG Billing Services, CoAMS, SourceLink, and UMI. In each case Riner created exceptional shareholder value by aligning strategy, organization, and culture to build high-growth businesses with outstanding profit margins. used by hundreds of thousands of researchers, educators, students and professionals worldwide.

Riner earned both his BA and MBA from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Irvine Alpert, Executive  Vice President

Irvine Alpert, executive vice president, leads Onvia's business development efforts. Alpert was previously CEO of ProjectGuides, a customized information service that delivered leads to the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) community. He grew the company from a home business to one of the top AEC market-information sources in the nation. Prior to starting ProjectGuides, Alpert was president of RCI Environmental, an environmental remediation-contracting firm, where he grew sales from $100,000 to $12 million in three years. He also served as vice president of sales and marketing at Hart Crowser, Inc., one of the largest environmental services firms in the Pacific Northwest.

Alpert has an undergraduate degree in social sciences from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a master's degree in city and regional planning from the University of California, Berkeley.

Naveen Rajkumar
Naveen Rajkumar, Senior Vice President and Chief Information officer

Naveen Rajkumar joined Onvia in January, 2010, and leads the company’s technology, content, and product management teams. He is responsible for developing new product offerings while also supporting all of Onvia’s existing services, including the Onvia Online Database, the award-winning Onvia Guide, and the Onvia DemandStar eProcurement platform. Prior to Onvia, Rajkumar served as General Manager at Aditi Technologies, managing significant business units, and was successful in building several meaningful software products.

Rajkumar holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Government College of Technology, Coimbatore.

Cameron Way, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Cameron Way joined Onvia in August, 1999, became chief accounting officer in 2003 and was named chief financial officer in 2008. At Onvia, Way provides financial and operational leadership in growth management, corporate development, and strategic planning. Prior to Onvia, his early career was spent with the public accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP from September, 1994, to August, 1999. His professional focus was on companies in the high tech and investment services industries, and he was involved in a number of initial public offerings.

Way holds a bachelor's degree from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California.

Soyoung Kwon
SoYoung Kwon, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

SoYoung Kwon is general counsel & corporate secretary of Onvia, Inc. She is responsible for the company’s legal, corporate secretary and governance activities, in addition to advising the board and senior executives on all legal matters. She was previously a senior corporate attorney at Safeco Corporation, an officer of the Safeco Insurance Foundation, and a corporate associate at the law firm Graham & Dunn P.C.

She received a bachelor's degree from the University of Washington and a law degree from the Willamette University College of Law. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra.

Henry Chou
Henry Chou, Vice President of Content

Henry Chou joined Onvia in September, 2009, and has served as the head of the product team since 2010. Chou was named the Vice President of Content in Jan 2013. As the VP of Content, he is responsible for developing the company’s strategy for and managing the operations of its best-in-class content. He works hand-in-hand with the product team to ensure our focus and resources in content are in alignment with our customers’ priorities and needs. He also ensures that our content meets or exceeds data quality, timeliness and coverage standards to demonstrate our industry leadership in public procurement intelligence.

Prior to Onvia, Chou served as the Senior Director of Corporate Development at WhitePages.com, where he was a significant contributor to the rapid growth of the company. Earlier in his career, he was a manager in the consulting practice of Grant Thornton.

Chou holds a BS from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Jagan Nemani
Jagan Nemani, Vice President of Product

Jagan Nemani is Vice President of Products at Onvia, responsible for delivering exceptional customer experience through innovative products and solutions. He has more than 14 years of experience encompassing product, process and business model innovations. He recently authored a new book “Shift: Innovation that Disrupts Markets, Topples Giants and Makes You #1”, Q1 2013. Prior to Onvia, Nemani was the head of innovation and strategy at Vertafore, an insurance distribution software provider. There he was responsible for driving customer centric innovations for their connectivity product portfolio that connected agents with insurance carriers. Prior to this, he was a manager at Deloitte Consulting’s corporate strategy practice, where he helped the clients with their toughest innovation challenges.

Nemani holds a MBA(with honors) from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business, and a ME, Microelectronics from Birla Institute of Technology and Science.

Jennifer Bascom
Jennifer Bascom, Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Jennifer Bascom is Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Onvia, Inc. She is responsible for leading the company’s sales teams to increase revenue through developing new business and continuing to build established accounts. Jennifer has over 20 years of sales leadership experience driving growth for a number of software and information companies. Her strength lies in her ability to manage and motivate successful sales and marketing teams with consultative selling and leadership.

Prior to Onvia, Jennifer was the Global Alliances Director, Salesforce.com at the TAS Group, where she was responsible for the strategic alliance partnership. Her background also includes the position of Director for several groups at Microsoft as well as having significant roles at very successful Seattle companies including, WRQ and Asymetrix.

She holds a bachelor degree in Economics with honours from San Diego State University.
