Hank Riner
Hank Riner, President and Chief Executive Officer

Hank Riner was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Onvia in October, 2010. Riner has over thirty years' experience in building and growing profitable businesses in the information services and software industries. Onvia represents Riner’s fifth CEO assignment in his career. Previously he was CEO of OSG Billing Services, CoAMS, SourceLink, and UMI. In each case Riner created exceptional shareholder value by aligning strategy, organization, and culture to build high-growth businesses with outstanding profit margins. used by hundreds of thousands of researchers, educators, students and professionals worldwide.

Riner earned both his BA and MBA from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Irvine Alpert
Irvine Alpert, Executive  Vice President

Irvine Alpert, executive vice president, leads Onvia's business development efforts. Alpert was previously CEO of ProjectGuides, a customized information service that delivered leads to the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) community. He grew the company from a home business to one of the top AEC market-information sources in the nation. Prior to starting ProjectGuides, Alpert was president of RCI Environmental, an environmental remediation-contracting firm, where he grew sales from $100,000 to $12 million in three years. He also served as vice president of sales and marketing at Hart Crowser, Inc., one of the largest environmental services firms in the Pacific Northwest.

Alpert has an undergraduate degree in social sciences from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a master's degree in city and regional planning from the University of California, Berkeley.

Naveen Rajkumar
Naveen Rajkumar, Senior Vice President and Chief Information officer

Naveen Rajkumar joined Onvia in January, 2010, and leads the company’s technology & content operations teams as the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Rajkumar is an accomplished technologist with over 16 years of experience in developing new software products and in managing global software and operations teams for businesses in the information services and software industries. Rajkumar is responsible for developing new product offerings, supporting and expanding Onvia’s existing services and infrastructure while also being responsible for the content sourcing strategy and operations. Prior to Onvia, Rajkumar served as General Manager at Aditi Technologies, managing significant business units, and was successful in building several successful software products.

Rajkumar holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Government College of Technology, Coimbatore.

Cameron Way
Cameron Way, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Cameron Way joined Onvia in August, 1999, became chief accounting officer in 2003 and was named chief financial officer in 2008. At Onvia, Way provides financial and operational leadership in growth management, corporate development, and strategic planning. Prior to Onvia, his early career was spent with the public accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP from September, 1994, to August, 1999. His professional focus was on companies in the high tech and investment services industries, and he was involved in a number of initial public offerings.

Way holds a bachelor's degree from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California.

Chris Woerner
Chris Woerner, Senior Vice President of Product

Chris Woerner joined Onvia as the SVP Product Management in June 2015. Woerner has over 20 years of experience in software development, software product management and product marketing. At Onvia, he is responsible for leading the product management and user experience teams in developing the company’s award winning Onvia Guide, the Online Database and the DemandStar eProcurement platform. Prior to Onvia, Woerner served as VP Product Management at CDK Global, a spin off from ADP Dealer Services. He has also held software management positions with InstallShield Software, Quaker Oats and Andersen Consulting.

Woerner holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Masters in Management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Henry Chou
Henry Chou, Vice President of E-Commerce

Henry Chou joined Onvia in September, 2009 and served as a leader in the marketing, product and content organizations prior to assuming his role as Vice President of E-Commerce, overseeing the Company’s Onvia Guide for Small Business product. Chou oversees product development, client acquisition and client success for the e-commerce division. Prior to Onvia, Chou served as the Senior Director of Corporate Development at WhitePages.com, where he was a significant contributor to the rapid growth of the company. Earlier in his career, he was a manager in the consulting practice of Grant Thornton.

Chou holds a BS from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Amber Ushka
Amber Ushka, Director of Human Resources

Amber Ushka joined Onvia in March, 2014, and leads all functions of the company’s human capital operations which include talent acquisition, development and management as well as benefits, compensation, employee relations and compliance. Ushka came to Onvia with over ten years of successful, progressive multi-discipline experience in the human resource profession and holds a senior professional designation with both the Society of Human Resource Management and Human Resource Certification Institute.

Prior to Onvia, she held leadership roles at Corbis Images, Microsoft and Onyx Software. During her nine years at Microsoft, she drove strategic programs in culture and employee development resulting in a 57% drop in attrition of strong performers and 81% improvement of top performing talent movement, as well as a 21% improvement in employee satisfaction. Prior to her career in Human Resources, Ushka spent over fifteen years building and driving high performing sales and marketing teams in technology, including hardware, software and services. She is a regular speaker at local and regional Human Resources events and conferences on topics of recruiting, on-boarding and culture.

Travis Pearl
Travis Pearl, Director of Marketing

Travis Pearl joined Onvia in October 2013 and has served as the Director of Marketing since April 2014. Pearl oversees all marketing activities at Onvia, helping the company meet brand awareness, client acquisition and client retention objectives. Prior to Onvia, Pearl held management positions at Active Voice, WhitePages.com and TIPPR and was co-founder of MeritShare, a startup focused on employee recognition.

Pearl holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.
