The study, which uses the same public sector sales intelligence available in Onvia’s B2G Intelligence System, reveals a notable increase in the total volume of bidding opportunities, 4.9% year-over-year, driven in part by more than $200 billion in recent voter approved infrastructure projects.

State, Local and Education Transportation Leads Grew 13% in Q1 2017

The infographic below measures the quarterly growth rate of published bids & RFPs over the last 6 months (Q1 ’17 vs Q4 ’16) and breaks it down by 12 distinct industry sectors. For Q1, the top 4 growth industries were transportation (at 13.0%), environmental services (at 12.1%), water & energy (at 9.7%) and healthcare (at 5.4%).

Further analysis into the high growth rate of transportation bids and RFPs indicated the highest growth rates came from local government, where it was the #1 ranked industry. But opportunities for both transportation services and transportation planning can be found across all levels of SLED.
