Term contracts are often awarded to one or more vendors for a set period of time. This type of contract is commonly referred to Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity or IDIQ. Sometimes, especially at the state and local level, these are referred to as multiple award schedule contracts or MAS contracts where the contract is awarded to more than one bidder.
It’s a growing trend in the Business-to-Government (B2G) marketplace for government agencies to issue more of these term contracts as they create efficiency in the procurement process. Luckily, Onvia clients receive the benefit of being able to easily track, manage and pursue term contracts with the government with functionality only found in Onvia’s B2G Intelligence System.
