The Challenge

As a leading provider of incident-communication systems, Everbridge (formally 3n Global) allows corporations, government agencies, non-profits and schools to rapidly communicate with large groups of people in both routine and emergency situations. Because a quarter of the company's annual revenue is generated by government-related business, Everbridge needed quick, comprehensive access to newly issued RFPs within its target markets, with the assurance that it wasn't missing any opportunities to bid on a suitable project.

The Solution

 Before using Onvia, Everbridge relied on multiple services to locate RFPs that matched the company's products, "but Onvia's is far superior," says proposal writer Robert Hernandez. "I also use Onvia's award data to see who won the bids; this way we can track our competition." And with Onvia's online database, which tracks the spending activities of tens of thousands of government agencies, Hernandez is able to create shortlists of ideal customers and build targeted marketing and sales campaigns.

The Results

Hernandez recalls how Onvia notified Everbridge about the RFP that led to one of its highest-revenue contracts to date, with the second-largest school district in South Carolina. Says Hernandez, "Onvia has allowed us to identify 70% more RFPs."
