Onvia’s first annual survey of government procurement professionals provides useful insights for both buyers and sellers in the business-to-government (B2G) marketplace. The survey reports on important trends and issues in government procurement, and highlights findings and implications both for the agencies and for the businesses selling to the public sector.
A representative sample of over 550 procurement staff, from cities, counties, special districts, state agencies and school districts nationwide, were surveyed. Our analysis considered the interactions of business and government agencies in the procurement process and incorporated findings and quotes from Onvia’s recent 2016 survey of vendors and contractors.
